Enigma Code

The Enigma Code, which is also known as the Three-Act Structure, is the idea that each film should be seperated into three sepereate parts. This is typically done in the beginning, middle and end, however there are cases when it isn't done in this format, i.e. 'Pulp Fiction'. If a film does follow the Enigma structure then it has a linear storyline; if it doesn't then it has a non-linear narrative. It is very stndard for films to use the linear structure as it usually leads to less confusion for the audience, due to it being in order and told fromm one event to the next event rather than one event to any other. As a result, it is a very good decision to keep the Engima Code in mind when writing a story and making a film.
