Synopsis - First Draft

(female name here) receives a text from an unknown number while she is sitting with her boyfriend, they discuss it and she send a reply back asking ‘who is this?’, this is when we Meet (psycho) where he receives this text and gets angry because she doesn't know who it is, and as he stands up in anger there is a reveal that he is obsessed with her and has a shrine of her on the wall. He then looks at his phone and and goes on ‘Find my friends’ app and watches her location, puts his coat on and leaves the room. We then go back to (girls name here) and (boys name here) her boyfriend and they have a discussion, then leave and go to the pub.

 

On the way they have to walk through a park, in that park (psycho) is also there following her location. As they walk through the park, they see him sitting on a bench (pan to the stalker on the bench) they take no notice of the stalker sitting across from the park as they continue their walk through the park. The camera pans towards the bench again as it follows the couples gaze back towards the original bench where they first saw the psycho sitting. It becomes apparent that the stalker is missing and not sat at the bench. They continue on their journey to the pub and as the walk round a corner and we see a figure appear behind them wearing a mask to hides his identity. Then we see from the stalkers view as he hits the boyfriend over the head with a glass bottle, we hear the smash of the glass as the bottle comes into contact with the boyfriends head. The screen cuts to a black screen and we hear the girlfriend scream and panic. The stalker appears again but this time doing day to day things as to the public he seems like a regular average person as he goes to the local shops. 

 

When he gets back from the shop he sits on the sofa, smoking and drinking beer, a distant knocking comes from the upstairs of the house; the psycho gets up and walks upstairs still wearing a mask to hide his face he bangs the cupboard and shouts. It’s clear the girl is trapped inside the cupboard. He then returns back downstairs to the room he was currently sat in and resumes his activity of watching tv and smoking. We hear the girl starting to bang back on the cupboard shouting to be let out; the stalker walks back upstairs, walks up the to the cupboard and yanks the door open and reveals himself. She is shocked as she realises she knows him and questions why he’s doing this. He explains that he did this because he wanted her and didn’t think her boyfriend was good enough for her. The female character explains that he’s her boyfriend’s friend and continually asks why he's doing this to her, the stalker remains quiet and ignores her pleading.   

The girl pleads with (psycho) to let her out to go to the toilet and so takes off the handcuffs. She takes this opportunity to run to the door but he grabs her, throws her to the floor and begins to choke her asking “Why did you do that!?”. He accidentally kills her, however. He then puts the body in the boot of his car. He drives to the top of the building or by a bridge, opens the boot, looks at her and then drives off a bridge.
