Evaluation Question 3

What have you learned from your audience feedback?

By using audience feedback of my media products I have managed to learn a lot of things. First I needed to work out different ways of getting audience feedback. To do this it was necesary to figure out the best way to use audience feedback and then work out a way in which to acquire it. For the first part of getting the feedback I decided it was a good idea to use it to figure out the types of films different types of people like to watch. To do this I created several surveys with which I could use to work out the various demographics of people that what the various genres of films and at what age, genre and other factors. As a result, I learnt from this audience feedback the specific target audience that my film should be focusing on.

Also from feedback I learnt what people thought our my film and was able to improve it because of that. By showing people early versions of our film while we were still editing it we were able to develop it further and improve it based on the suggestions and feedback we recieved from this first audience. As a result, we learnt exactly how we should edit our work and our film in ways that will improve it. By, essentially, beta testing our film we learnt from the audience's feedback and from that managed to tweak and ultimately, metaphorically, get all the bugs and viruses out of the film. This meant that we were continuing to learn and develop from the audience feedback and make our film pretty much as good as it could be. This is why the audience feedback was very important, perhaps even vital, to us and our success and our film's success.

Finally, I learnt what the public thought of the final film by seeing what they put in the comments on our YouTube page and also from first hand witnessing people viewing our film and getting feedback from them afterwards. As a result, this contributed to our film review and allowed us to give a far less biased an non-judgemental opinion of our film to give an honest film review based on what people had actually said and thought of the film after viewing it. This meant that it overall allowed us to develop and improve our work and our whole project, helping us in great ways, including making the various parts of our project improved and better from what we had learnt from our audience feedback.
